I was lead on a non-profit community outreach program for Fresno SOS, survivors of suicide. I lead a team of four in which we created a newsletter to be given out at an assembly for Clovis East High School. This program included personal experiences of Fresno SOS parents, included warning signs of someone who may need help and also how to stay mentally and physically healthy. My team also created a texting platform for Fresno SOS in which you would be able to connect with Fresno SOS and their activities and meetings. I also encouraged the program to become more engaged with social media and helped them create a platform that is able to reach the local community.

For a graduation gift I put together three picture collages one for each of my closest friends. I used different pictures for each and made them all about that person, and had the best monuments on them. I wrote a personal message on the back of each and had them framed. This was a way for me to express myself and how important each of them are to me. One friend, who moved to Portland, Oregon when moving in, sent me a picture of her collage hanging in her living-room.

My Fashion and Interior Design project, we were given a budget to follow in which we would have to decorate an apartment and create the perfect floor plan. We were supposed to write a report and then show a few photos and our blueprint designs for this assignment. I decided to show a little more detail and go more in depth with this project. I used materials swatches relevant home storage options and priced out every detailed object I would have had in my apartment. I created a poster board with details and textures’ that really every section of the apartment. After this class was over the instructor told me that she would be introducing the elements I used for this project into her curriculum from now on.

I am an instructor during an after school program in which I create a curriculum for elementary aged students. I am the lead kindergarten instructor, in which I have 10-30 students during half a school day of time. Along with planning out daily projects, I came up with some fun activities including games and songs that reflected the monthly themes we were learning. Along with other staff I coordinated projects to further the students learning with the kindergarten teachers at the elementary. This program proved helpful for students to improve their skills for social interaction and the learning experience.

For an elementary school carnival of friend of mine had a booth in which she was selling hair bows and accessories for girls. She asked me to come along and if I had an ideas or projects to bring and help during the carnival. I decided to, with it being before Halloween, to have a hair spray section for the booth. I bought washable color spray made for hair, a mirror, and some plastic coverings to protect clothing. I charged one dollar for one color or two dollars for three colors. We made around 70 dollars that night with more than 50% coming from the hair spray alone. From now on that local elementary school has a hair spray booth each year for a certain classroom.
